Ithaca, NY: Downtown DeWitt

  • 352-398 N Cayuga St Ithaca, NY, 14850 United States (map)

Meet at the corner of Cayuga and Court Streets for a 7 block walk in the north of downtown/DeWittt Park neighborhood. This walk will include also architectural history, urban renewal, preservation, and discussion of the fate of the old Cayuga Street library building.

Over the course of the hour we discuss things that once stood and that now many consider losses. We'll discuss how things that now feel like a loss once were considered great gains to the people and City of Ithaca.
